"Cozy Nook" Our Secret Little Hideaway

If your looking for a romantic peaceful & relaxing place to stay and enjoy glamping "Cozy Nook" will be just perfect for you. Nestled in a woodland meadow area of 3 acres with various beautiful species of trees it's a little haven waiting to be found . During spring a host of golden daffodils covering a vast area and bluebells hide amoungst the trees and the enchanting atmosphere is unique along with its privacy. This wonderful accommodation attracts romantic proposals and honeymoon couples, musicians & artists. In the very centre of the meadow there is a magical circle of tall silver birch trees which is perfect for tree bathing in our rocking chair , there is also a thinking chair for two for that much needed time to empty the mind , focus and recharge those batteries. Enjoy some quite time , ponder those thoughts and watch the world go by . During your visit you will only be sharing this wonderful space with nature and perhaps a good book, oh and not forgetting a few furry friends that often come to say hello! Whilst your relaxing during the hot lazy summer afternoons the local water & red deer often silently appear in the meadow , not forgetting the rabbits and squirrels of course . As night falls gather around the fire pit for some star gazing, whilst toasting marshmallows and enjoy cooking on the gas BBQ with a glass of wine . You will enjoy a peaceful awakening and listening to the early morning chorus of many varieties of wild birds . "Cozy Nook " is a unique escape and the perfect gift to celebrate any special occasion and surprise a loved one. Visit for a mini two night break or for longer as there is so much to explore in this beautiful area of Norfolk . Explore this beautiful part of the Norfolk Broads and walk for miles along the stunning, deserted sandy coast line. Just 5 mins away you can hire a day boat on the broads and have a romantic picnic or watch the sun set at the near by beach . For a short evening stroll, we recommend a countryside rasy route to our quaint little village pub, with a great selection of Norfolk Beers and a tasty pub menu . We are a peaceful adults only glamping site & sorry no pets allowed due to our own animals in close proximity. We offer various therapies subject to availability, our donkey and piggy experiences are very popular and they include a photo shoot and recording to capture those wonderful memories, however this is optional please let us know if you are camera shy . please view our accommodation page for more photos and single video page .

Star Gazing With Toasted Marshmallows

Each shepherd hut has its own out side furniture, Fire Pit & gas BBQ and we will include some wood and marshmallows for your first arrival night. You will enjoy the peaceful evenings and star gazing, whilst toasting your marshmallows. The beautiful haunting Barn Owl often makes an appearance and if you are really lucky you may see our local herd of Red Deer which come to graze in our small woodlands and surrounding farm land.

Adorable Donkey Experience

Donkey lovers will enjoy meeting our little herd of six donkeys. Freckles , Pixie , Doogle , Bradly , Romeo and Peanuts, our smallest donkey but definitely the leader and in charge of the herd . From the comfort of your Shepherd Hut, you can watch our donkeys and the goats playing on their climbing equipment . Its fun to watch . Please note "Cozy Nook " does not overlook the animals as it enjoys a 3 acre woodland meadow on the other side of the glamping site . So why not enjoy a donkey experience during your stay with us . Our donkeys are happy to receive kisses and cuddles, as they are very gentle affectionate donkeys . During your experience we can capture those magical memories just for you. If your camera shy this is optional . You will have the opportunity to groom and learn all about their daily care routine and the stories behind their past lives . The donkeys are very popular with our guests and pre booking is advisable. The goats will often come and say hello to (we advise you to pre book or mention on arrival as very popular). This experience is subject to weather permitting and availability. It's great value £45 1hr for 2 adults . We have many other well being therapies available, reflexology , chakra healing , meditation , spiritual readings , sound healing with voice , harp and singing bowls, mindfulness, counselling , manifestation & art and craft therapy subject to availability. Here at Starry Meadow , we want you to relax and to find some breathing space . We offer various spiritual & well being therapies . Subject to availability . Our little therapy shepherd hut is welcoming and relaxing offering tea and coffee . There's is a wonderful energy and ambience present at all times .

Forest Fairy Wonder

New this year 2023 . Why not enjoy a girly mini break or a unique hen party where you can hire starry meadow all to yourself for up to 8 ladies and enjoy some fairy magic fun . Just bring along your fairy costume not forgetting your wings and leave the rest to us. Enjoy a photo shoot in our enchanted woods and enjoy our fairy harpist for sound therapy, ribbon dancing & bubbles , healing meditation , Chakra crystal healing ,Tarot readings. As night falls enjoy sitting around the firepit toasting marshmallows under the stars .

Norfolks Waxham Coast Line And Seals

Waxham beach is 20 minutes away and is well worth a visit to see the Seals It is a wonderful walk down to the beach through sand dunes. There is a tea room called "Poppy Lands" themed on the second world war with memorabilia and serving great food and a wonderful gift shop.

Cycle Through The Countryside Villages

We offer cycle hire subject to availability or please bring your own, it is the perfect place to cycle with ease, it is completely flat with no hills. Cycle to our neighbouring villages, where you will discover country pubs with a good choice of ciders and beers to quench your thirst. "The Ferry Inn" public house at Hickling is situated in a beautiful location which over looks the Hickling Broad . Also close by is Our very own public house The Crown , serving great value pub food .

A Haven For Wildlife

Located close to the Catfield Fens RSBS conservation area , we are an ideal spot for bird watching. we have some beautiful wild birds in our grounds and have encourage them with daily feeding and nesting boxes over the years. At dusk a local barn owl appears and during the night you may be lucky enough to see wild Red Deer.

Great Yarmouth Seaside And Attractions

Our largest seaside attraction with all the popular seaside entertainment has amusements, a Sea Life center , a fun fair and the famous and oldest Hippodrome Circus. So weather its an ice cream or a walk along the pier you will find it all here. There is so much to see and do in this wonderful location of the Norfolk Broads and a warm welcome awaits you .

Catfield Village Post Office and Genral Stores

Our village post office offers a full range of groceries for all your basic needs. Walking distance only 10 mins and is opposite our friendly village pub.

Norfolk Zoos

A popular local attraction is Thrigby wild life zoo in Filby about 20 mins away and Amazon Zoo in Cromer is 30 mins . Cromer is a quaint little sea side village with a wonderful pier hosting some great shows and some nice shops to explore.
